About the Show
Join us for an evening of improv comedy, inspired by stories from guest monologist Randy Hunt! Our improvisers will use Randy's stories as inspiration for scenes. As an audience member, you'll get to hear some cool stories, see some awesome improv, and you won't have to participate! About our Guest Randy Hunt takes the title of multi-hyphenate very seriously -- he is an actor, director, playwright, poet, improvisor, musician, on-skates roller derby official, podcaster, video game streamer on Twitch, and a whole lot more. However, most of those things weren't part of his life prior to 2011. His life was pretty quiet up until that point. But once theatre came into his life, he dove in head-first and never looked back. In the past 11 years, he's performed in over 30 full-length productions, as well as many smaller projects and productions. Randy is also an award-winning playwright with over 30 ten-minute plays in his repertoire (apparently 30 is a magic number?). Just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Randy wrote his first full-length play, Inside Man, and spent much of the pandemic tweaking and revising it, based on feedback from his actor and playwright peers. Inside Man will be making its world premiere this fall at Schoolhouse Arts Center in Standish (September 14-17th). Randy endeavors to be a likeable guy and is a strong believer in making friends with everyone he meets. He spent most of his life in the Bangor area, but moved to Westbrook in 2016, where he still lives, along with his fluffy gray cat, Millie.
